"It's getting dangerous to be poor in this country."

I love that line, from one of my favorite films, seriously, it is. And it's true!

Was just watching this documentary about the fiasco involved in the production of Michael Cimino's masterpiece "Heaven's Gate" called, "Final Cut: The Making and Unmaking of Heaven's Gate" and it just shows you how big Business can roll over an Artist and the press will gladly join in on the gangbang.

I love Westerns! I'm always hoping some film or book will come along and reinvent it. Maybe all the layoffs and all the banks closing and car manufacturers shutting down will lead us back to what it was like in the Old West. Outlaws robbing folk just to pay off their credit cards. Highway men pulling us over to siphon the gas out of our cars. Our High Speed Internet wires will become part of a new telegraph system. It will take a fast horse to rob a Bullet Train!

One time I saw a great photo of about a hundred young businessmen all in hats, waiting for the train. This might have been in the 1930s, I'm guessing, and they all were reading pulp novels. There was one guy walking away from the camera and you could see a book sticking out of his back pocket. Everyone read!

The country was in turmoil and people were still buying books!

Today I was at Borders and it was pretty full, but it looked like people were picking up gifts and it mostly looked like people were buying "Twilight" related reading material. I suppose that's the pulp of today. Teen Vampires.

Make no mistake, I've wanted most of my life to have a Cult...

...No Jim Jones kinda thing, but something small, sexy and powerful. And it may have started when I was in the 7th Grade and my best friend Matt Taylor and I became fans of Blue Oyster Cult.

The other day he sent me an email with a link to this song saying, "Remember this?"

Well, I sure do! I use to stare at the album cover trying to decipher the meaning. Listening to it again was a great flashback to have, I love the vocals when they sing, "All Praise" it's fantastic!

"I'm in fairy rings and tower beds
"Don't report this," three men said
Books by the blameless and by the dead
King in yellow, queen in red

All praise
He's found the awful truth, Balthazar
He's found the saucer news"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSLrT5w5POM

Great stuff!

The line, "King in Yellow" jumped out at me years later when a friend had a 1st edition of "The King in Yellow " by Robert Chambers from the late 1800s. She also owned a few of "The Yellow Book" specifically the Aubrey Beardsley ones. I would just sit for hours with those, amazing stuff!

Chambers has influence so many people with his work. Musicians, Writers, Filmmakers... The First Five cars I owned were all Yellow, coincidence? I think NOT!

"Are you bored with the 9 to 5? Want to do something different? Would you like to work for yourself and gain the approbation of other people? Try starting a Cult."

I wasn't choking my chicken! Dirty minded bastards!

My throat is so sore. I was eating some chicken yesterday and got choked on it! I wasn't choking my chicken! Dirty minded bastards! I think it scratched my throat, or I'm just getting sick... a g a i n... Plus, I think I opened a door wrong and pulled a muscle in my back, but could be I'm not sleeping well. I'm falling apart, my body is in Fail.

Good news is I filled up and Gas is like $1:72 a gallon here... I wonder how long it will be that cheap?

I've been trying to get together with my brothers, but I don't know what's going on, they just seem to be not interested in seeing me. Some people I barely know have been kind and invited me to spent the Holidays with them... But I don't really know these people.

These holidays are going to suck! I'll end up by myself drinking and playing with my handgun.

This is Glen Campbell performing a cover of the Jackson Browne's “These Days”, I loved the version by Nico used in "The Royal Tenenbaums" but this is very moving...

I love this song!

To get in the Xmas Spirit, I've watched this documentary about the Best Christmas song EVER, checkout

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=SW_WSQpewNY

The Story Of...Fairytale of New York - The Pogues" you'll feel better for it!

Enjoy! This is great!

Last night, or rather 5:43AM this morning I bolted up from the worst nightmare panic attack ever wondering what I was going to do with my life... I have these every so often. Feeling like the ground is opening and swallowing me up and I'm falling and my carbon footprint on Earth has meant nothing to no one and I've changed nothing for the better...

Then I think...

"I can't believe life's so complex when I just wanna sit here and watch you undress."

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=l4_ZLuPBHnM

Then I have to pull it out and spank it with you in mind, then I fall asleep a lil' happier.

I recently met this girl who is obsessed with 70's Porn...

...dirty, grainy, hairy 70's porn.

She's way knowlegable about it. She knows a lot! She collects it like some collect robots and antique glass on eBay. This is the "Show Me" State and she had to show me, she even has a BetaMax machine in her garage to look at the more rare tapes. I asked how she got it repaired, like who still works on those things, and she told me she's never had a problem with it since she bought it from her church. Seriously.

I had the pleasure of standing in her messy garage, eating Slim-Jims and watching mostly Christy Canyon ( I think) and some others she likes, create video history while this huge Beta machine whirred sitting on top of her Red Velvet pool table. Just like in "Eyes Wide Shut" the only other place I've seen a Red Velvet pool table, but maybe they're popular, I don't get out much to pool halls.

She sent this to me today, a documentary about pornstar John Holmes that inspired the Mark Wahlberg movie "Boogie Nights". The film includes interviews with John Holmes and Seka.

This is a documentary about the porn star Dirk Diggler and is directed by Amber Waves.

This is a documentary about another porn star in, "The Don Dolmes Story"

Sorry, I don't have time for you, I'm in a serious relationship now

Saw the James Bond movie, "Quantum of Solace" and LOVED it. There have been so many people saying horrible things about it, about the theme song, but I was really taken in by the whole thing. I totally got into it!

Loved the "Star Trek" trailer before the film and can't wait for that!

I got a box of Raisinets and boy that was noisy. Tipping the box each time to get some sun-ripened, plump juicy California raisins tucked in rich creamy Nestle' Classic Milk Chocolate out was like shaking up a bucket of gravel. Really loud!

I don't really eat candy, but I was hungry and Raisins are healthy, right? Even when they are dipped in Crack.

Stopped off at Outback Steakhouse after the movie for the Alice Springs Chicken I haven't had in nearly a year. Nice, nice treat for me.

The whole day was like I was taking myself out on a date. After all the money I spent on myself, I took myself home and had sex with myself. It was rough sex and there wasn't much talking or cuddling, I felt used and left in tears.

Later called myself to get an apology and came back for some wine and cheese, then I had some "Make Up" sex. This time it was sweet and after some snuggling, fell gently asleep.

I'm talking to myself, I just realized that!

I had Mexican food yesterday and drank a margarita or Two, then went to the DMV because my tags are TWO MONTHS expired as the cops that pulled me over for robbery kindly informed me without ticketing me. That was nice.

They also told me I had one brake light out. In LA I would have been ticketed, in SF the cop might have helped put a new bulb in, in Dallas, the cop might have just shot me!

At the DMV nothing was accomplished because I have to get an inspection first.

Went to Jiffy Lube, they do inspections. Got brake lights fixed, radiator flushed, oil change, new air filter, they are so good at upselling things you don't want or need, but then while all that was going on the guy that does inspections left for the day. The whole reason I went there. Bill? $90. No inspection, no tags from DMV today!

Rain, rain, rain...

Very cold!

Went to the B&N bookstore walked around alone, talked to the girl working the music section about Santogold, but my right eye got all blurry and head began to hurt.

Went to my new Thai place to eat again. Alone!

Came home went to sleep, ALONE... for 24 hours! Yay! My eye feels better!

Hopefully will get to see the new James Bond today with my brother, if it doesn't start snowing.

This looks like a movie. An AWESOME movie, but it's just the wave of the future of entertainment and the end of cinema as we know it...

Dude, I would never have thought Chris Elliot could have such a hot daughter! Dang!

Chris Elliot's Daughter Joins SNL!!!

I guess we all knew, The Matrix runs on Windows, at least the one I'm stuck in...

Well in the time it took me to look at all of those links, my brother has canceled on me for the 007 movie, but I'm going anyway to the 11:20 am showing... ALONE!

Always alone... I don't get it? I'm a nice, sweet, fun person to hang out with... Why am I always alone?

I need this day off to have fun like you can't imagine!

Time to just chill and think about my future, for The Future is where I will be soon!

Been making changes to my various Internet projects, to which you can find the links on the Left. Please take some time to explore them when you are not too pressed for time.

Going to be making new audio for my Project Playlist Radio Show

http://www.playlist.com/user/8641895

Please check it out before the current show goes away.

Had another great mention connected to actress Jean Seberg in GreenCine

http://daily.greencine.com/archives/007022.html

I have been so obsessed with her in different stages growing up, just look at the pic of her on the cover of the book! She was amazing!

If you have any interest in Woody Allen, I have found not only THE BEST interview with him, but maybe any interview with a celebrity who is exhausted and has reached a stage in Publicity where the just don't give a shit anymore. It is truly hilarious and in 4 fantastic parts!

The Woody Allen interview is from 1971, just after the worldwide release of "Bananas"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8dEjc5B4kOo

Today I'm going to eat Mexican Food and drink heavily. Planning to see, "Quantum of Solace" with my brother tomorrow if he can make it.

If you are not doing anything right now, please take some time and think up a nice thing to write to me. If it's nice and sweet and gives me the smile I need, I promise to write you back with an equally smile inducing email.

30 Different Ways to Put A Roof Over Your Head...

...In These Tents Times.

Get it Tents/Tense?

http://www.treehugger.com/files/2008/10/30-different-ways-to-put-a-roof-over-your-head.php

My favorite is the car cover tent! Imaging camping out and a tow truck trying to move the car and it turns out to be a tent. Might be a cool prank!

Getting high in your tent can be scary!
